Jane is a senior associate specialising in commissioning issues within the health and care team at Mills & Reeve. Over many years of challenging economic circumstances for the NHS, Jane has helped commissioners design policies clarifying what interventions they have prioritised to fund for their patients, defend those policies robustly in court when challenged, and ensure that they pay only for those patients for whom they are legally responsible. Always keen to untangle the knottiest of problems, she has developed particular expertise in the labyrinthine rules governing identification of the responsible commissioner and sought both to apply these to scenarios brought to her by CCGs and to teach those rules at various seminars to empower clients.
