A really good recent example of David's work, which showcases his technical skills and sector knowledge, is the strip income project he completed between a University, bank investor and student accommodation operator (all household names) in the last year. Strip income is a procurement methodology which de-risks a land purchase or development deal for the investor, but is highly complex. Considerations such as bank security, tax, responsibility for repair and the application of leasehold enfranchisement rules must be addressed. David has years of experience advising on lease based legal structures and was able to achieve the optimum outcome for all.
