The final 'wave' of CCGs have submitted their applications for authorisation with the NHS CB. All 46 CCGs in wave 4 of the authorisation process submitted their applications to take on future clinical commissioning responsibilities the Board confirmed.
Dame Barbara Hakin National Director: Commissioning Development at the NHS CB said the receipt of applications for all four waves was a 'real milestone'.
The NHS CB has now received 211 applications in total as CCGs move towards taking on their new commissioning responsibilities from April 2013 onwards.
