Yesterday saw the NHSCB publish interim advice on arrangements to secure children's and adult safeguarding during transition to the new health system. The 'interim advice' provides additional information in particular to emerging CCGs which will need to demonstrate as part of authorisation that they have appropriate systems in place for discharging their responsibilities in respect of safeguarding. It also sets out how the NHSCB intends to fulfill its duties and responsibilities both as the commissioner of some healthcare services and in its oversight role.
The NHSCB aim to publish the full accountability and assurance framework in the autumn.
