Government's detailed response to the Future Forum report

Today the government's detailed response to the NHS Future Forum was publicised. Following on from last week's initial response this provides details of how the government intends to implement plans to improve its NHS reform proposals.  Some of those changes will require amendments to the Health and Social Care Bill which are not detailed at this stage. 

Page 56 onwards confirms the amended proposals as to timescales.  This introduces flexibilities for example so that clinical commissioning groups which are not ready to take on full responsibility for commissioning on 1 April 2013 (when PCTs are abolished) will not have to do so.
