What can I do for you?
I am a construction and engineering partner with more than 30 years' experience of working on construction projects. I specialise in advising on the creation of construction contracts, the application of the public procurement regulations and on state aid issues. My career in construction began working for Trafalgar House Plc (now Skansia) in the early 1980s. I have worked on JCT, ICE, NEC, GC/Works, MF/1, ICHEME and FIDIC based contracts. My work involves appointing contractors, consultants and sub-contractors.
My role is to assist projects progress from start to completion, and help find innovative solutions to deal with legal and practical issues that arise.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
I co-ordinate teams of lawyers working on a range of projects for clients. I ensure that the projects get successfully to completion, working with other specialists in Mills & Reeve from our property, tax, corporate and commercial teams.
Examples of my work include advising on the contract terms for a hydro electric power station in Tanzania; on the terms of a refurbishment of parts of Senate House University of London; on the terms for a process plant in Cheshire, highways works on the M1; biomass plants and office/R and D Developments.
Our aim is to always ensure that our clients’ objectives are met.
What do others say?
“Team head Ronald Plascow has ‘a remarkable grasp of construction law’. Sources describe him as ‘incredibly quick thinking’ and ‘never failing to impress’. Interviewees are keen to assert that ‘from beginning to end and top to bottom, all the staff here are solid and reassuring – and, most importantly, they deliver’.” Chambers UK
